Artist Statement Nature Photography. I am a photographer specializing in landscape and nature imagery. Being surrounded by nature always feels intensely calming and meaningful. In 2009 i converted from film to digital photography and became interested in post processing software to correct some of the short comings of digital sensors. I use this time to take all the variables and elements into consideration. My passion for photography began with a love of the outdoors. For as long as i can remember i have been drawn to the environment and spirit of the natural world. My earliest memories are from my formative years spent amongst the forests, lakes and streams of the upper great lakes region, where i was early drawn to nature.
